One of the questions we get asked most often is whether we can recommend campsites similar to Kamp Velebit.

Unfortunately, we work all summer, which leaves very little time for going on camping holidays ourselves and conducting proper field research. Instead, we took a more reliable approach: we asked our guests.

While most of them agree that there is no truly similar camp anywhere on Planet Earth — including Upper Earth, Lower Earth, and nearby dimensions — over the years we have collected a short list of almost similar places.

The criteria are simple:

  • small-scale

  • family-run

  • friendly, human atmosphere

  • affordable

  • character over polish

  • something that feels intentional rather than optimized

These are not copies.

They are parallel ideas.
