Amenities

Real life begins at the end of your comfort zone – but even real lifers start their day on a toilet.

“The universe provided.”

We had water and firewood.

Kamp Velebit offers simple, functional amenities designed to support real camping (and even unnecessary urban-style grooming) — without excess, but with everything you actually need.

Toilets & Lavatories

Clean and regularly maintained toilets and lavatories are available on site for everyday comfort and hygiene.

Hot Indoor Showers

Recently renovated indoor showers are available 24/7. They are simple, clean, and well-built, with reliable hot water year-round. During colder months, the shower space is floor-heated, making it comfortable even in winter conditions.

Natural Outdoor Showers

During the summer months, outdoor showers with sun-heated water are available for cooling off after a day outside.

Fully Equiped Indoor Kitchen

A shared indoor kitchen is available, equipped with free gas cookers, basic appliances and utensils for everyday meal preparation.

“Off-grid experience.”

On-grid enough.

Streamside Outdoor Kitchen

In summer, guests can use a basic outdoor kitchen by the stream — simple, functional, and well suited for open-air cooking.

Community Refrigerators

Shared refrigerators with freezers are available free of charge for storing food and drinks.

BBQ Area

A wood-fire BBQ area is available for grilling meat and vegetables. Basic equipment is provided, just needs your coal.

Clean Mountain Water

Cold, drinkable mountain water is available throughout the camp.

”We needed very little.”

Turns out very little includes plumbing.

Dining & Social Areas

Roofed dining and social areas with wooden benches and tables are available for shared meals and quiet time.

Community Campfire

A shared open campfire area is available for warmth and evening gatherings.

Wastewater & Camping Toilets – Important note

We use a biological wastewater treatment system. To protect it long-term, chemical toilet additives are not permitted — including “eco” versions. Grey water and non-chemical camping toilets are welcome.

These amenities are shared spaces. Please use them responsibly and leave them as you found them.

“Nature took care of us.”

Infrastructure did most of the work.
